Polymorphic transformations (2024)
The exhibition Polymorphic transformations explores the complex and
deeply intertwined relationship between plants and humans, as well as
interactions between organic and luminous substances. Featuring
new camera-based works and a video-installation, the exhibition is a
visual inquiry into scientific and speculative scenarios of how the
rapid advancement in the fields of biotechnology, computational imaging
and artificial intelligence enable transformative applications across a
broad range of fields such as medicine, agriculture, environmental
science and research.
This exhibition at Fotogalleri Vasli Souza (28.11-22.12.24) is the first iteration of a series of new works concerning biotechnology, inspired by lab visits and conversations with researchers & scientists working in this field.
The exhibition is kindly supported by: Billedkunstnernes Vederlagsfond and Norsk Fotografisk Fond.
